这部游戏无论是画质还是音响效果，都不能称得上十分壮观，而且它的剧情方面还存在几个毛病。不过如果你能够容忍这些问题的话，你就会发现《古罗马角斗士》是一部离奇而又有趣的策略游戏，值得一玩——至少在短时间内是如此。 在《古罗马角斗士》中你控制着一支角斗士小队，最多可由10人组成，这些角斗士都是你从当地的奴隶市场上买来的。你也可以从不同的人物阶层中招募角斗士，游戏中的阶层是用武器来区分的，比如说使用狼牙棒的人、使用铁锤的人、刀客、斧子手和弓箭手等。然后参加竞技比赛，打败游戏中预先准备的角斗士，这就是线性单人战役的组成部分。每一个角斗士阶层都拥有一套标准的攻击招数、一套标准的防御动作、走到或跑到其它竞技场地区的能力以及两种额外的特殊技能（比如说，使用铁锤的角斗士拥有一套双重攻击术，能够产生双倍的杀伤力，还有一种晕眩攻击术，可以让一群敌人暂时的失去知觉），不过，你会发现游戏中大多数远程武器（比如说投石器和弓箭）并不象近距离武器那么有用。说到具体的剧情，其实就是玩家给手下的角斗士下达命令，让他们去攻击敌人的角斗士小队，直到其中一方的角斗士全部被杀死，比赛才会结束，玩家可以扮演观众的角色，比如说给自己的小队喝彩，或是使用必杀攻击术杀死奄奄一息的敌人——无论你采取哪一种方法，都可以让你在比赛的最后赢得更多的奖金。

【故事简介】

《三国群英传》，可以说是国产游戏的著名系列。将以大地图的方式示意地图，地图最北边的冰封之地和东方的外海也可以移动，玩者军队可以绕过北边雪地来个迂回进攻，甚至可以渡海东进倭国。而大地图上除了城池之外，也增加不少事件点，这些事件点可以让玩者取得新的兵种或武将技，当然玩者得先完成事件点要求的任务才行。军队可以在地图上的任何一个点活动，玩者除了可以选择城和城之间的路行军外，也可以直接穿过原来不能通过山岳和河流，以达到奇袭的效果。当然，不同的地形对于行军速度理所当然会有所影响。在新的行军规则下，玩者可以使用的策略理所当然增加不少。像是直接翻阅山领偷袭敌军的后方，或是绕过对方的主力，直接收拾后方较弱的军队或是直接攻城，让对方的军队无家可归。游戏会自动选择行军最快路线（而非最短距离），玩者如果要用迂回或是穿过山地偷袭敌军的方式行进，游戏设计有巡航点的功能，玩者只要将这些点放置在想移动的路线上，军队就会按照这些点移动。

《恺撒大帝Ⅲ》是Impression推出的结合城市建设和科技发展的最佳策略游戏，对喜欢《模拟城市》和《文明》的朋友来说就千万不要错过这个成为Caesar的机会。《恺撒Ⅲ》比起前作来画面有大幅的提高，内容也较以前丰富了许多。《恺撒大帝Ⅲ》有两种游戏模式：一种就象《模拟城市》，选择一个任务建设你的城市，来给你建立罗马城的成就感；另一种就是战役模式，你从一个小小的罗马帝国的执政官，一步一步完成Caesar交给你的任务，你的职位会逐渐升迁，最终你的能力起过Caesar，他就会退位让贤，你就成为新的恺撒大帝。游戏开始时首先看看地图，然后心中构思好城市的总体规划，在有外敌的任务中地图边缘要留出修建Wall（城墙）的地方，空出几格地图做战场，注意耕地的分布，因为Wheat（小麦）、Olives（橄榄）、（Vines）葡萄等农场必需建立在耕地上面，Clay pit （粘土坑）、Marble quarry（大理石采石厂）、Iron mine（铁矿）、Timber yard（伐木场）都需要*近原材料的产地，工厂和原材料生产以及仓库最好修建近一些，提高生产效率。每关游戏开始都已经修好了一条路，我们就从这条路开始发展。首先建几条路，再建几十幢房了，这时就会有移民拉着车移居到你的城市，建些Engineer's post（建筑队）和Prefecture（地方官），他们的作用是为你的城市维修房屋和维护城市治安（火灾、犯罪等），Prefecture（地方官）在干燥的地方要多建一些。接着就要解决你的城市人民的吃饭问题，是种地还是去打鱼。种地就先建些Farm（农场），再建Warehouse（仓库），建几个Market（市场）来分发食物。接下来就要解决人民的饮水问题。在《恺撒大帝Ⅲ》中，供水和《模拟城市》中的供电系统一样重要，不能供水的地方经济就停止发展，人民会怨声载道。先要在*近水源附近修建Reservoir（蓄水池），再看Overlays中的Water（水源供给范围）选项，那里缺水就修建Reservoir（蓄水池）并用Aqueduct（水渠）连接起来，当然离水源越远蓄水能力越差，一个河边的蓄水池，最多只能连三个通到内陆的蓄水池，而越下游的蓄水池功能也会逐渐递减。所以离河流较远的地区通常难以获得良好的供水，除非进行更大的投资。Fountain（喷泉）和Well（水井）要根据你的城市合理建设，喷水池必须放在蓄水池的排水范围内，而水井则没有这个限制。每个房屋都需要有水的供应，才能够妥善发展。接下来就应该建些卫生宗教等建筑。先建Barber（理发室）、Baths（浴室）、Doctor （医生诊所）、Hospital（医院）等设施，不然发生瘟疫可不是好玩的。这时可以建Forum（城镇市场），收税来增加你的城市的财政收入。开始时Temple（寺庙）建设要注意平均，每个神一个，让神都高兴。这时你的钱肯定已经所剩不多了，现在该搞贸易了。建些Market（市场），如果和海上交易还要建Dock（码头），看看贸易地图，红色的城市你都可以和它们进行贸易，和这些城市通商之后，看看这些城市需要什么，你就尽量的生产，最好只出口成品，不要出口原材料，因为成品的价格是原材料的几倍。建设N个Raw materials（原料生产），再建2N个Workshop（工厂），尽可能多的出口吧！
