Good afternoon everyone, at about 3:00am Eastern time we started having some trouble with the US-based DNS servers. They would all be running smoothly and then one-by-one they would all stop responding within a few minutes of one another. We would restart them and everything would run fine for a period until they stopped again.

We ended up tracing the root cause down to a malformed TXT record that was causing an overflow within the DNS server software that would cause it to crash. We have removed the offending records and are putting measures in place to prevent them from being added in the future.

If anyone has any questions or concerns on this issue, please open an "October 15 Issues" thread in the support forum and we will address any questions there.
