CNTV.com ，主人是一个拉脱维亚人，名叫Владимир，（弗拉基米尔，俄文意思是控制世界～）他从事域名与网络生意超过十年。对于这个域名，网上假设搜一下，是可以看到2月份时的一些帖子，求购方估计是CCTV，但是他们谈判策略失败同时保密疏忽，导致消息走漏，在12月中旬新闻稿流出的当天，两份绘有完整的VI标识与宣传预案的文件被传播到网上，嗅觉灵敏的人士立刻跟进，向弗拉基米尔发出询盘信函，根据我当天第一时间发函而后收到的回复，我已经是第九个询盘者，前面报价大概20000美元和15000美元不一。我的犹豫导致了错过了讲价交易的黄金时机，在GMT的下午时间再行联系时，域名已经售出。
我的第一反应是落到了米农手里，于我而言，如果自己无法收购成功，最希望看到的还是CCTV完成收购。于是我和他套近乎，向他建议终止交易，同时我在1984和CCTV的论坛里发帖，呼吁央视有关人士立即介入，阻止中国米农的收购。那是最好的时机，但是央视没有任何的动作。在第二天，弗拉基米尔征询了律师的意见之后，取消了交易，保留了域名。我也坦率地告诉了他这个域名的价值和我的看法，即将来CCTV将很有可能收购这个域名，在此之前请不要把域名出售给域名炒家，请替CCTV保留这个域名，自己享用typo流量。目前为止累计有超过15人向他出价，但是我建议他仅仅把目光放到CCTV上，同时他也表示这个域名以前一度做站，所以不怕WIPO仲裁之类的事情。我的介入直接导致某米农收购失败，由于我希望CCTV能购买它，15万到100万人民币对CCTV不过是小钱，我那时也提醒了央视，它不购买是他意识没有到位，如我信里说的那样，BBC主站是bbc.co.uk，但是人家把BBC.com攥在手里。
弗拉基米尔希望中文互联网世界的舆论让CCTV最终收购CNTV.com ，因此我如他所愿把他和我的部分信件公布。双方英语俄语交流中的语句疏漏请直接无视。
